Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis had many different haircuts during his career. He was well known as an outstanding economist, mathematician, physicist and statistician. Nevertheless, the Indian scientist was especially known for his unusual fashion sense and his pleasant personality. Before his tragic death at the age of 79 he was again and again featured in tabloids because of his superb looks.
